How to move both Jira and confluence databases to another sql server

Hi,

 

I need to complete a migration of databases from our current applications SQL server to another SQl server instance. Can you please advised what is the process in order to get this completed. Thanks.

Shut down JIRA and Confluence, clone the databases over to their targets, then edit the connection settings in <JIRA hom>/dbconfig.xml and <Confluence home>/confluence.cfg.xml to point at the new databases
