I want to move my confluence from ubuntu 16 with postggresql, to another server
ubuntu 20 and same postgresql.
I think there are 2 issues moving licence to another server and moving data with database.
Hi @Bahman Sharzad,
Thank you for raising this with us.
The page that @repi shared with you is correct for Confluence 5.9, but the most recent version of this document is below:
[This document] doesn't cover database migration or upgrading your Confluence version. We suggest you do each of these steps separately.
Further down the page, please note the following:
If you're moving your database...
If you have also moved your database from one server to another you can change the JDBC URL in
<confluence.home>/confluence.cfg.xml
if you are using a direct JDBC connection or in the definition of your datasource (if you are connecting via a datasource).
Under Related Content on that page, you can find the article to migrate across databases.
You can follow the steps from the database migration article to get started, as this covers creating a new Confluence installation, connecting to your new database, and importing backup data. You can then use the Migrating Confluence Between Servers documentation to check the steps you've run so far, and any remaining steps (such as updating any configuration and running a reindex).
Let us know if you have any trouble.
