We currently use Confluence Cloud and while we primarily have restricted spaces, we do have a public space. Is there a way to prevent public search engines from indexing of a specific space
?
Thank you. Since we use the Cloud version of Confluence, we cannot add this tag or make changes as if we were hosting the site. That said, I found this discussion which may result in what we need. I'll have our Admin reach out to support to see if this is a solution.
I think you need to add metadata tags to disable indexing: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/robots/robots_meta_tag
See this thread: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/How-to-add-lt-meta-name-quot-robots-quot-content-quot-noindex/qaq-p/390834
I also found this suggestion: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-8749
