How to publish without notifying users and watchers

Hello,

As a Confluence administrator, I would like to download documents without notifying our users and watchers.

It looks like that anything I download generates an automated email ([Confluence] Property Acquisition > Downloads..) sent to all my users (+250). I would like to keep it silent. What is the manipulation?I d click on 'publish without notifying watchers' but it doesn't seem to work. The Downloads page seems to be the issue.

Confluence sends notifications to page watchers when you publish the page only when a new change is introduced, like modifying the content or attaching a file.

perhaps the content is modified when you edit the page!  As Wade said more details would help us identify where the problem might be.

I'm not entirely sure I follow you...is 'Downloads' a page you created?  Where are you downloading documents from?  Are these page attachments?  I'm assuming since you are seeing the 'publish without notifying watchers' that you are editing a page but I'm not sure why you would need to edit a page to download something.  Additional details would be great.
