How to remove all restrictions of all disabled users ?

De Lange October 29, 2018

Hey guys,

I´ve a little problem with my Confluence database. We´ve some disabled users in it, which have listings on different sites.

This is the query to show these restrictions (View, Edit):

The problem I´ve now is, that I want to delete all the listings of these disabled users, because they aren´t necessary anymore.

Pls help my guys :D

Thanks and have a nice evening

Hi @De Lange,

Do you mean that the disabled users belong to confluence internal directory or from external user directories like LDAP etc.

Please refer to this documentation to decide whether you want to disable a user or delete the user from Confluence - https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/delete-or-disable-users-138318.html

As documented in the above link:

  • If a user has contributed content (Content includes pages and blog posts, and edits and comments on existing pages), you should disable their user account. Disabling a user account won't remove the content they've created.
  • Someone with a disabled user account can no longer log in to Confluence, and they don't add to your license count.

Hope the documentation link helps you understand better about how the users are managed. If not, please provide some screenshot explaining Expected behaviour Vs Actual behaviour.

Regards,

Ravi Varma
