Hi Experts,
We have a DC Confluence instance V8.5 that we are sunsetting.
The license has already expired.
The System Admins are working on maintenance and backup activities.
During this time (before we decommission) we would like to block "view" access from all other users in the instance.
We have many spaces so going to space permissions for all spaces is not a good way
Any advice on how to revoke view access for all users will be dearly appreciated.
Thanks
David.
We normally do this by changing the group with the global "Can Use" permission to a group that only has the system administrators.

the easiest option I can think of is to handle this on login rights level. If users cannot login, they will not see anything.
In case you have Confluence internal user base, there should be option for admins to make bulk changes to users and remove the login right.
In case you have some sort of external user base, e.g. from AD, those users are probably in some AD group so bulk removal of group membership in AD should disable option for users to login to Confluence.
However, this also requires that no anonymous access is allowed.

Harald

Thanks for the advice.
I guess there are several ways...
We took the approach suggested by @Jim Knepley - ReleaseTEAM
This approach was very helpful for us.
Thanks!
