How to remove the reference to attachments that have been deleted?

For instance, I have attached JIRA issues to my project pages and then deleted them. Currently I have 2 JIRA issues linked or referenced in my project page, but he page still displays that I have 3 JIRA issues linked or referenced in the page (see pic attached). How do I make it so this note only references those that are still attached?

Hi @Lisa St George.

To remove the JIRA issues referenced in "JIRA meta data", you need to remove the "issue link" from the JIRA issue itself.
