×HI All,
I have a scenario, i want to restrict user to enter a word only without any special characters & leading spaces in column of a table. Is there any way to achieve this?
Hello Rajat and welcome to the Community,
To ensure I have a full understanding of what you’re wanting to accomplish. You’re wanting to have a Confluence page with a table within it, users are only allowed to insert specific character types within certain columns or rows of the said table.
If you’re using the native tables within Confluence this may not be possible (depending on if you’re using Confluence cloud vs server).
Alternatively, if you using Confluence server and you have SQL macros within, you can then create Confluence as the interface to the SQL table using a SQL macro. This option would be rather complex but would easily allow you to control data entry to allow only specific characters.
To understand a bit more of why you require this process, could you give us details of what is needing to be controlled or avoided?
