Suppose I have some plugins installed on server. In the cloud the plugin is not available. Will the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant migrate the data? If it migrates, how to retain the data after migration to the cloud (since the plugin is not available in cloud, it might show something different (maybe junk))?
Hi Sourav,
Unfortunately, the Migration Assistant will not help you with addon data. Each vendor that has an addon for the Server and Cloud version must have its own solution for data migration.

Hi @Sourav Mallick ,
please take a look to the following article https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/assess-and-migrate-apps-with-the-cloud-migration-assistant/

In the article you mentioned, the following is written when the app does not have an equivalent cloud app - "This means that you cannot migrate your app data to cloud for this app, until the Marketplace Partner builds a cloud app and migration path.".
Can you suggest me any way to preserve the data in this case and later restore it in cloud? If it is not preserved and restored, the entire data will be lost.

my suggestion is to contact app vendor in order to find a solution for your question.
