How to select a future date using date picker?

I would like to key-in a date which is few years in the future. How do I jump years while using Date picker.. I could only navigate to next month but not next year

Solved: 

To do this write your date in this format: //dd-mm-yyyy 

The date picker will appear but you can enter a specified date

e.g. below entering a date
