I want to set the permission for the comment can only be added but cannot be deleted, no matter the comment is created by me or anyone. So in Space Tools, I add comment only, but I did not check delete comment, not check delete own. However, the comment I created can still be deleted by myself. Isn't that strange? Or did I set up wrong for the permission? Plz help. TKS!
Check out Ultimate Permission Manager app. It will explain you why you or any user can or cannot do something in Confluence.
Here's a sample for how comments delete permission is explained by UPM:
Hi Cho,
Is your permission overriden some way because you are part of confluence administrators group or similar?
Could you test this with another user who doesnt have any special permission?
Thanks and regards,
Fazila

Hi Fazila,
TKS for your prompt reply. Yes, I am confluence administrator. But I create another group and account to test the comment function. And the screenshot I attached is the permission for my test group and account. Do u have any idea?
Best Regards,
Cho

Cho,
Did you find out what is causing this problem? I am experiencing the same behavior with a test account (no admin privileges) while testing a Confluence upgrade.
Test user does not have delete own, or delete comment permissions but the account is still able to delete its own comments.
Thank you,
Matthew
