How to sum the counts on different rows and display it in a seperate row?

Hi,

     I created a table in my confluence page to display new and closed issues.  Now I want to sum the counts and put the total number in separated  row, how can I achieve that in a table.  Attached is a screenshot of what I like to setup in my confluence page.  Please advise.

Hi @Lawrence ,

You may try the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app.

Insert the Jira Issues macro and paste the required JQL (for example, issues that were created and issues that were closed during the last 30 days - it seems, that you need to do something similar).

To count the issues of both types, wrap the Jira Issues macro into the Pivot Table macro:

As a result, you'll get a dynamically changing summary table.

You'll be also able to visualize the table with the help of the Chart from Table macro if required. This macro also works with dynamically changing Jira Issues macro perfectly well.

Here are several examples of the Jira dashboards in Confluence created with the help od the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app.

    Thank you for your advise. I'll try it out. 

     Could you provide me steps on how to insert my current table into the pivotal table? The interface is no that obvious for the uninitiated confluence user like me.

Hi @Lawrence ,

You should insert the Pivot Table macro first on the page, then put you mouse cursor inside the macro body and insert the Jira Issues macro.

So, the Jira Issues macro will be wrapped into the Pivot Table macro.

And, of course, you'll be able to enter their settings separately.
