How to test Addons

david martin March 4, 2014

I am new to confluence and Jira Support. I have to upgrade the production systems from 5.1 to 5.4.3 but when I do upgrade check on the installed addons I get a list of about 20 add-ons that have not been tested and need to be. But since I am new to this system how would I know what each add-on show do to perform a test on its functionality i.e. Customeware Tracking, Jira Macos, and Scaffolding Metadata Plugin just to name a few. Thank you in advance.

There should be a link to documentation on the plugin pages at the Atlassian Marketplace and Service Rocket. For instance, here is the user guide for the Scaffolding plugin: https://docs.servicerocket.com/display/SCAF/User+Guide

Here is the user guide for the tracking plugin:

I can find the addons but that still does not give me any clues as to what I need to do to test them. Like one is template addon. do I install it and try to make a templete? What would I do to the others that aren't as cut and dry? Thank you in advance
