Some colleagues have asked me how we could implement up- or down- votes as part of the retrospective document produced from the meeting. These folks read a recent Atlassian article, but I cannot find a way to contact, Sarah, its author, nor do I find any obvious means within a JIRA macro to expose the capability. Sarah mentions half way down this article that her team members is provided a means to up-vote, for example, up to three items in each category.
The only way I can see providing this capability is to have each team member open the retrospective document in Confluence for edit to manually insert the up-vote () emoticon at the beginning of the bullet while not destroying the other up-votes present there already.
Hi,
has anybody found a better solution for this yet?
Because we would like to make it easier for people to vote, which might make them more willing to vote :)
Hi Paul,
Editing the document and manually adding a vote is how many of our teams do it. Sometimes this is done by everyone editing the page, and other times one person has the page open, and records everyones votes.

I see, Rachel, thanks. I guess we were reading too much into that statement.

This doesn't prevent double-voting and also doesn't even let the voter know whether they've cast a vote or not.
