How to update status of task or story in Jira through confluence?

I created jira issue and would like to update status of the task through confluence. Is it possible to update status , change the assignee etc through cinfluence?

Not natively - Confluence allows for:

• Creation: Highlight / Create utilising the button in the pop-up which appears
• View: View issues utilising the Jira Filter and Charts

To make issue modifications, it's easiest to do this in Jira itself :)
