How to use Rest API for cloud confluence(Wiki)?

We have could confluence 5.8 for Wiki and our requirement is execute Rest APIs for automating some tasks like creating a space or moving content from one space to another.

We have to setup the environment for calling Rest APIs. Please suggest the step by step guide that helps a beginner to perform above mentioned tasks.

I would recommend:

  • Starting Confluence locally with AMPS.
  • Using the REST api browser to play around with the rest resources.
  • Write the code you need to interact with the REST API's.
