I am unable comment on the change history

When the change history is tracked, my changes are tracked.However, I am unable to provide comments on the comments section. Any idea how to provide comments on the comments section?

Parhaps this is related to this missinig feature in Confluence Cloud: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Can-you-add-comment-to-page-history-functionality-back/qaq-p/1334455

There are a few not-so-great workarounds.
