I am unable to disable email notification when pages are edited

Still in trial mode for Confluence, I am unable to disable email notification when pages are edited, modified or deleted. I don't want that users receive a mail anytime a simple modification is performed. The solution given by the hoots is not working because I am unable to disable the Confluence Notification Plugin... How can I do ?
