I have 2 instances of confluence running on the same server - after upgrade only one loads

I upgraded from 5.9 to 6.6 this morning - which both were working fine before upgrade (yes i did backup both directories and SQLDB.  Both instances seemed to upgrade fine with no errors.  I've verified my Server.xml file kept the original port settings, but one instance will not load.  I know enough to be dangerous - i'm not an apache guru.

Running on Windows Server 2008, IIS7, and DB is on a different SQL server.

Since my 2nd instance is a "starter License" - atlassian won't help me.  I'd be grateful for any assistance.

Have you edited the server.xml after upgrading your Confluences? Make sure that Confluence both run with an individual port. 

And, since you updated to Confluence 6, change the Synchrony port! Two Synchrony processes with the same port on one Server can't go well. ;)

Yes, I've verified my Server.xml file kept the original port settings after the upgrade.  I've now turned off synchrony on the instance thats running, and the other instance still won't load.
