Import Word Doc to a page based on the legacy template

Title says it all really. I have a large knowledge base which has been built entirely using the legacy editor. I've been given a substantial Word doc (8,000 words) which I need to add to my knowledge base. But I can't work out how to import a Word doc into a page which uses the legacy editor. 

I can import the word doc into a page base on the new editor - but it would look out of place in my knowledge base. Or I can create a blank page based on the legacy editor and paste the Word doc into it. Is there a third way? Can I somehow import the word doc into a legacy page? Can I convert a new page into a legacy page?

I cannot see that there would be a third way of doing this - I think you're going to have to use a blank page on the legacy and copy and paste it.
