Hi there,

I have a question regarding page restrictions:

  • We run two separate Confluence instances in our company.

  • The instances are now to be migrated to one instance.

  • Is it possible to automatically transfer the page restrictions to the new instance?

  • I queried the pages to which page restrictions are applied from the database and cannot find a way to automatically import them into the new system.

Is there any solution for this?

Best regards,

Philipp

Hello,

I believe the restrictions should be there upon import. It does however depend on your directory configuration of source and target instance. Groups sometimes have to be recreated to match the target, and if directory data is different individual user accounts may not be represented correctly. If you are looking at the pages already imported into the new instance and they have no restrictions then it will likely not be possible to retrofit the permissions into the new space.
