Dear,
we are using Confluence in quite an extensive way. We came from an old paper and email based world - this is why we are currently trying to pack every use case possible in Confluence.
What we would like to achieve is to have a kind of a self hosted "read-it-later" service like Wallabag, Pocket or so in Confluence.
The main idea is to have data from the internet at our database - to ensure that this data will be available forever (at least for as long as the project is live).
Unfortunately, I haven't found anything like this on the marketplace. What we wouldn't like to do is to setup a WordPress installation (which has a great plugin called PressForward), as this would divide the knowledge base.
Any ideas so far?
I would be happy for any suggestion.
Thank you in advance,
best regards,
Philip
In terms of out of the box functionality, you can use the Shared Links Blueprint to curate links to external web content.

Thank you for your suggestion. This is a great thing if you know that you have a rather static link, as the link content is not "imported" into Confluence.
What we are trying to achieve is be rather independent from the web for the content we imported - so even if the link is either changing or vanishing, we would have the content still in our place.

Dear @Philip Deubner,
you can do this with Confluence, but it is important to know that for your requirement there is a software class available call Document Management System that much better suits.
Confluence is for team collaboration. Content often change, simultaneous editing, constant restructuring and and social media features. A living thing!
What format types do you import to your Confluence? Plain text, PDF?
So long
Thomas

Dear @Thomas Deiler,
the idea is to import a website using an URL - like in WallaBag.
So thank you for your suggestion, but an import of files is not quite what I am looking for.
Best regards,
Philip
