Hi,
I have setup a test Confluence instance and am using internal user directory.
I import a space from another Confluence instance into newly setup Confluence. The space has user ids which are not existing in internal directory. My expectation is that all the new userids which are referenced in space will get created in internal directory during the import.
Am I wrong? Because it did not happen this way.

Hi @sanan sanan,
That is the expected behavior. A space export/import just caries over the space. It does not bring over any users.

Hi @Benjamin ,
thanks for taking out time and addressing my query.
it seems you are right. I just expected it will work because I have seen it happens in Jira project import. It just creates user ids in the internal director it does not find it already.
So I will have to find another way to fix this issue.
Thanks for your reply
Sanan

There's site export and import which will bring over all the spaces including users and groups. If there are spaces you don't want, you can delete them after you import the site.
Hope this helps.
