Hi,
Is there a way to import word doc into a confluence page without losing pictures? I know the answer is to use the built-in office macro but our organization has that disabled for security reasons.
I tried exporting the docx to a PDF and copy and pasting but pictures are still missing.
I can export from PDF to pictures page by page as attachments, but it wouldn't be editable for the future.
Thanks.
Did you try a simple copy-paste? Crtl+A all the content in the Word doc, the Ctrl+V into a new page in Confluence while in edit mode.
Hi Bill, thanks for the reply.
Yes I tried the usual select all/copy/paste. While all text do copy over, any pictures or charts do not copy over and appear as blank.
I have even tried to export the word doc to a PDF and select all/copy/paste from the PDF with same result.
Normally I would do it manually but with 200+ such documents, I am trying to see if there is a better way.

Well plead for a one-time exemption on the Word Import and have your IT enable that function just so you can bring in these Word docs. Seems the saved time should convince management.
Now, I am not sure what security risk they are concerned about. None of the macros that might be embedded in a Word doc will not be brought in.
