In which files are stored the header/footer and CSS for the email notifications?

Mickael July 16, 2019

Hello,

I've been trying to find information on what are the files I need to modify to change header/footer and overall CSS for the email template sent when creating a new confluence user.

I did find out that the text itself has to be updated from within the confluence-x.x-x.jar file. However, I'm still struggling to understand what files should be modified to change header/footer structure & css of this mailer. I was under the impression that these were the ones in templates/chrome/ from the confluence-email-notifications plugin but it seems like no matter what I change in there, it's not reflected when I trigger a new email to be sent, as I keep seeing the old style.

Does any of you have any experience with this? Atlassian support doesn't support this unfortunately, so they couldn't help me and suggested I check here.

Thanks!

Mickael

Dear @Mickael

did you already read the Customizing Email Templates article?

Hi @Thomas Deiler

Yes, I did. That's why I looked into the .soy files of that plugin but as said, I was under the impression that the ones to modify were in templates/chrome/ from the confluence-email-notifications plugin but it seems like no matter what I change in there, it's not reflected when I trigger a new email to be sent, as I keep seeing the old style.

Kind regards,

Mickael

Dear @Mickael ,

I have no clue about how to do what you described. But I found two suggestions that would cover your requirement.

CONFSERVER-45505

CONFSERVER-40684

Vote for them - eventually they get implemented, once.

So long

Thomas
