Hello,
We have JIRA installed in a VM which uses few plugins such a SIL that is used to automate JIRA requests including query tables from our internal network etc.. Our organisation heavily depends on JIRA and its automation.
We would like to install Confluence server on a same VM so have JIRA and confluence in same VM. Is it okay to have both in a same VM? will it case issue with current plugins?
There are few articles online outlining after installing confluence in JIRA then the JIRA stops working which we cant afford to have it.
What would the Atlantis support recommend here? is it worth having both together?
Hi @Andrew Balmer ,
it is possible to have both Jira and Confluence on the same VM. However, most people will suggest to have them on separate VM, as this will provide better performance and also prevent one application from impacting the other of there's an issue.
Confluence and Jira listen on different standard ports (8090 and 8080) so there won't be an issue here.
You should still get your IT administrator involved to help you setup the application so that your Jira service is not impacted.
Let me know if this helps,
