Is Confluence compatible with IE9?

We are running Confluence v4.0.5. Those of us using IE9 can't get the cut and paste to work in edit mode when using IE9. It works fine in IE8. Is there a fix or workaround for this issue.

Hi @lfobel – are you referring to the ability to paste images from your clipboard into the editor?

IE 9 is a supported browser, however there are certain features that are not supported by IE. Unfortunately, we could not implement this in Internet Explorer due to IE not having the appropriate support for the Clipboard API. We do intend on implementing this for IE once this is complete. Note necessarily an image. If we try to cut and paste text from a Word document, the same error occurs.

I see - that's very odd. I'd suggest filing a support request at http://suppoprt.atlassian.com so we can identofy the cause of the problem.

The question is badly formulated. You should ask: is IE9 compatible with anything ? :))

We have similar problem with same version of confluence? Is there issue linked to this and is it solved in later versions?
