Is MySQL database still a free database to use with JIRA & Confluence latest version.

Hello Team,

Could some one please let me know, if MySQL database is still a free database to use with JIRA & Confluence latest version. 

As some people say post Oracle has purchased MySQL, they provide community version/s of MySQL for standalone applications only.

Could some one please explain on this.

It is still supported, and it is still free. 

You should probably ignore people who don't know what they're talking about and look for yourself.
