old and test servers have same server ID, does it cause performance issues

Vamsi Krishna Reddy May 19, 2018

We are planing to move confluence server to new machine with IP differ, we are testing the process and currently running confluence 3.4, we copied the data to new server and brought up, but I noticed that original server and test server have same Server IDs, does It cause Performance or License Issues or any other Issues, Please let me know.

one more Doubt: Is there any possibility to take users and groups backup excluding data and other things?

Thanks in advance.Thanks!

Is it possible to check from Confluence side, what type of authentication being used?

I am seeing that User Directories is delegated LDAP authentication and not seeing that Confluence is using JIRA's User server.

Login to JIRA - go to User Management - on the extreme left column , you will see the type of directory used , if it is internal jira directory - it says so as displayed,

As for users and groups - you need to do it at database( considering you are using JIRA INTERNAL DIRECTORY)

Go to your atlassian account - for the same server id you will get developers id...copy it and paste it on your test environment,
