Here's my problem:
For our company, we have to create documents that are very much about if-then relationships.
For example:
In the first column, it says either n.a. (not applicable) or the rationale XX.
The second column remains empty if "applicable". Otherwise, the text "Not applicable since XXX" appears.
Because the document is very repetitive, we work with "shared blocks". That means you only enter once in the shared block why "not applicable" and then the rationale is used everywhere. This works great with column 2, because it remains empty if "applicable", i.e. the shared block is simply left empty.
Columns 1&3 are problematic, because they contain references to documents. If "n.a." is not correct, the "shared block" is simply left empty as described above, leaving only the rationale XX in column 1 and the documents XX and XY in column 3.
Now I would like to have a function/app/plugin/ with which I automatically delete the pink marked texts if "n.a." applies. Is there a possibility for this, which does not require much programming skills?
The solution with the "shared blocks" could also be undone, this was only my first try/solution to solve the problem semi-automatically.
Thank you all very much!
Hi
Have a look at ConfiForms - the plugin we are developing and supporting
You can have dynamic forms with dependent fields, shown/hidden form blocks/fields, setting default values based on the selections been made earlier and a lot more.
