Is it possible to generate automatically a template if you create a new project area in confluence?

If I create a new project area I do not want to upload (or generate) every time a new template that gives me an overview about the project. Is it possible to generate automatically a template (my own template which I created) to every project that is generated in Confluence?

Hi @Sebastian_Grutz,

When you say project area, I hope you are referring to a space in confluence.

  • If you are looking to generate/create a space based on a template that is already defined, then you can consider using the plugin copy space from Atlassian. Copy space function is not available out of the box. Note that this plugin is a Ship-It release, and although developed by an Atlassian developer it is not officially supported by Atlassian. Please read the notes about the plugin at https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/wiki/display/CPSP/Confluence+Copy+Space+Plugin.
  • If you are looking to define a template for a single page (ability to use it each time you create a page in any space) then, you can consider creating a global template

Please see this article for more information :

https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf210/administrators-guide/design-and-layout/customising-look-and-feel-overview/global-templates

Thanks,

Swathi

Hi @[deleted]

Thank you very much for the information.

Are there any other solutions? Because we are using Confluence cloud based and it is not that easy for us to install the plugin.

With project area I mean a space in confluence.

Best regards

Sebastian
