Is it possible to set a default space as the initial search environment?

Steve Abrahall March 20, 2022

Hi ya!

Ok so if I go into advanced search I can select a particular space to refine my search .This is great but .....

Is there a way to configure confluence to initially just search one or 2 preferred space? Then if I want to dig deeper use the advanced search to open up access to more spaces?

The problem is we have a heck of a lot of data and making sense of it is becoming a bit of a quagmire.

TIA

Steve

PS we currently work off a server but are moving to cloud.

Hi @Steve Abrahall

Not with the search field at the top right.

What you can do is to use "Livesearch" macro.

Hi @Steve Abrahall

if you interested on a high qualtiy search solution for Confluence, iFinder Confluence Search is available at Atlassian Marketplace.

It helps even the confluence user without expert knowledge to search quite intuitively.

This enterprise search solution delivers top results based on linguistic analysis and offers many additional features. Also a dashboard is available where you can found your previous searches, your saved searches and favorites.

Additional to the search ui, you can place the iFinder Search Macro on your Confluence site with your preconfigured search setting e.g. searching only in some spaces - this will match your request.
