I have never heard of a specific limit to the number of pages you can create within a space. I would suspect that certain macros may run slower or break if there are to many pages for your current configuration to handle. Often times I think individuals need to size their application properly and ensure that the hardware they are running it on can support it. This should prevent performance issues and ensure a good user experience.
