Is there a maximum number of attachments in the file library of a page

We have a page on our 6.13 server instance that for whatever reason has in excess of 100 attachments. If I select to insert files and images within the page, only 50 files display.

Where is that value of 50 set?and what are the impacts of changing this.

What defines the order of what is displayed?
