Is there a way how to highlight last update just by using standard set of macros?

Dušan Juhás April 9, 2019

I would like to visualise information about the date a particular Confluence page was updated.

As a corporate user I am not allowed to add any macro and using self-managed version 6.12.3. So I need to stick on out-of-the-box set of macros.

Is there an option how to do it?

Dušan,

Thank you for reaching out!

I believe you are asking that when a person views a Confluence page, the recent edits are highlighted in another color?

For this, you would need to use the Page History and Comparison Views. Note that it's not possible to highlight the changes in the regular page view, so if a user wanted to see the changes, they'd have to compare the current version with a past version.

Alternatively, you can ask your users to manually highlight new changes, but there's no internal feature for that without using an add-on.

I'm not aware of any other workaround you could use, but thankfully we're on Community where our users have a wealth of information to share. It's likely that another user will suggest something else that could help you out!

Regards,

Shannon
