Whenever I post a new page to a section of the site, if there is a watcher, they see a notification. This is hightly ocnfusing becuase often times I do not want anyone to be notified that there is a new page. I do not want to be spamming people.
When updating a page I can chose to publish the update without notifying anyone. Is there a way to do this for NEW pages.
It has been a incredible hinderence, and I cringe everytime I post a new page knowing that I am going to get multiple emails from the less tech savy members of my business trying to figure out what to do with this new information.
YOu will say "Well jsut don't have them as a watcher". However, in sections of the site I NEED people to be watchers. In particular when we are doing daily updated new pages for meeting notes. Everyone needs that notification. But that's all they need. So I want to make a new page and select "publish without notification". Saddly I cannot find this setting.
Hi Dominic,
This is a bit of an odd scenario. I can't see Atlassian ever making a feature request to publish pages silently. However, there are a few workarounds I think that could work:
Niiiice!
Thank you Daniel!
