Is there a way to Change user macro view in page edit mode?

alana fernando January 16, 2018

I am working on a user macro that improves options of status macro.

Still in page edit; user macro doesn't generate the status macro as user selected in the macro settings.Screenshot 2018-01-16 16.32.35.png

I want my user macro to generate the status as in page view. is there a way to do this?

Thank you in-advance for your time.

Hi Alana,

If you would want something closer to the status macro view in Confluence, then you would have to create a Confluence plugin app.

However, you do have perhaps one option: use the Custom HTML in Confluence to load some Javascript that would check for edit mode, check for the existence of the Advance Status Macro, and replace it with something similar to the status macro view. This seems like a lot of work, though.

Afaik, you always see a image in the editor. Your Advanced Status shows the default editor preview image. The StatusMacro shows a custom image, c.f. "EditorImagePlaceholder" and this tutorial:
