Is there a way to create a Confluence page from a Bitbucket pipeline

Is it possible to publish our changelog.md file from our repo into a Confluence page using a Bitbucket pipeline. 

Reason is that there are stakeholders who need to see the changelog who may not have access to Bitbucket.

I see there is a Confluence REST API. Is that the best way?

In my opnion, rest API is the best way to automate that behaviour.

Thanks for your reply. Seems like that is the best way to go.

I also started looking into a couple Confluence plugins/extensions that allow including files from BitBucket in a Confluence page.
