Is there a way to create an event on a Confluence calendar when a Confiform form is approved?

I want to build a form that the team will use for requesting time off. However, we already have a Confluence team calendar everyone uses to input their time off. The goal is to have the time off tracked in one place, but have the process automated with the request being the trigger.

Unfortunately Confluence Calendars dont have the APIs... https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-51696 :(
