Is there a way to find out which template is used by which page in confluence?
Not by default. Since you could create a template page and just delete all the information, Confluence doesn't keep track of which template is used for which page.
However, there are some ways you can guess.
For new pages, you could have the template include a label, and then this would identify pages created from that template
For older pages, you could try to find sections of text which are included in the original template document and search for those, especially headings and things that aren't likely to change. Just search for "some text" AND "other text" AND "more text" (note: and must be capitalized) and then you could probably find it.
But it's a real pitty that Confluence doesn't keep track of which template is used. What's the purpose of using a template when you delete the layout? I will keep it in mind to use labels everywhere. Thanks for the answer!
