Here is the scenario:
We use Confluence (Cloud). Currently, we are having to document the features/enhancements twice. Once in Work-in-progress space (before Release) and once in Live docs space (on the day of Release). It is time-consuming and confusing too, because we need to update a lot of docs on the day of the Release.
Is there a way to do it only once by restricting the text in a page, like how we restrict the pages.
I want to restrict a chunk of text in respective pages before making the doc live. That way I don't have to document twice. Just remove the restrictions and we are good to go.
Can Atlassian implement such a feature? That would be very useful to us.
Hi @Kalpana Malladi ,
Thanks for posting.
Could you please try out - Page Properties Macro and add details and check the hidden so that content of the macro would not be visible unless you go to edit mode?
Please let me know if that helps and sort out your current issue.
Thanks Suvardip!
This helps to a certain extent but not fully.
The reason being we need to make the docs visible to SMEs and peers for review.
Is there a way to make it visible to certain groups?

Hi @Kalpana Malladi Natively there is no way to hide some text in a page, but you can use Page Properties macro as suggested by Suvradip, which can help to some extent. If you are open for a paid third party app, you can explore app like Comala Document Management through which you can setup review/approval and publishing workflow for your documents.

Hello @Kalpana Malladi
As Kishan suggested, you may want to explore apps available in the Atlassian Marketplace. In addition to Comala Document Management that they recommended, You may be interested in an app such as Comala Publishing, This would enable you to publish content from your 'work-in-progress space' to your 'live docs space', you can link both apps so that when you give a final approval to your draft content, it is automatically published.
