Is there a way to use inline commenting over the Excerpt Macro?

The situation is that we have pages with the excerpt macro and we want to be able to use inline commenting. It looks like the inline commenting only works on regular text and not anything within macros... What are the workarounds?

With the Talk add-on you can add inline comments to the content of the excerpt macro in both Edit and View modes.

Adding talk to the content of the excerpt macro in Edit mode:

Talk added to the content of the excerpt macro in View mode:

Besides that, Talk has lots of other useful features not available with Confluence native inline comments, e.g. working with inline comments in Edit mode, collapsing of long comments and discussions, settings viewing permissions for each talk or for all talks in the space.

Hi Boots, at the moment you can't add an inline comment on a macro.  The team hope to improve this in future, but for now you can only add inline comments to plain text.
