JIRA issue macro for private and shared filters

Hi there,

We have created several private and shared filters within JIRA, and would ike to see issues matching those filters from within Confluence using JIRA issue macro.

My understanding is as below, and I would like to confirm this is correct.

case 1. Suppose user A has an account on both JIRA and Confluence, and has created a private filter on JIRA. In this case, when he writes JIRA issue macro within Confluence using that filter, only he can see issues from within Confluence page.

case 2. Suppose user A has created a shared filter for certain group on JIRA, and then he writes JIRA issue macro within Confluence using that filter.

In this case, only users which belong to that group and have same username on Confluence can see issues from within Confluence page.

Please inform.

Regards,
Daisuke Niwa

Hi, what you described should be correct. Assuming application links, permissions etc have all been setup correctly, users will only be able to see what they can see.
