Jira And Confluence Servers

poornima guddettu March 20, 2014

Hi,

I have installed Jira in my Linux machine using jira installer and later have installed confluence using the confluence installer on the same box.Their ports are 8080 and 8090.(Default) Now I need to find out whether they are using the same server and whether I can have same url for them but with different context. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Poornima

Yes, you can run them on the same url with different contexts.

It's usually easier to do this by running them behind a web-server that proxies them (doesn't matter whether they're on the same machine, ports or anything else if you do that). Most of us do it with Apache.

Hi Nick,

This is very helpful for the pages that are created from now on.

But I already have many projects that have attachments that are created with other templates. Is there a way to make them include the macro or somehow display the attachments in the same page?

Thanks,
