Hello
I have a confluence page that uses Jira Snapshot to pull in a table displaying traceability across linked issues. This works great for our team's needs.
My issue is our workflow requires we export a PDF of the page with our generated snapshot table. When a PDF is generated, it is blank with only any static elements on the page displaying.
Our working theory is there is a runtime for the Jira Snapshot, and the PDF capture does not allow for.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar, or has ideas on ways to resolve?
@Michael MacDonald It will not work, because prior to the PDF exporting, the embedded sections are not rendered.
Instead of using the Confluence page, maybe you could produce the PDF document on the Jira using the Better PDF Exporter?! If you wanted to add information around the table (I guess this is what the Confluence page is used for), then you can add that once to the PDF template, and it will appear in every exported PDF document.
The PDF templates are extremely customizable, just see the export samples here.
It has an interesting default traceability report template that will render a table using the selected columns and by traversing the issue links up to a max distance! Maybe it is something you could use for your use case:
(Discl. it is a paid and supported app developed by our team. Free for 10 users!)
Hi - I hope that you are Doing good !!
Jira Snapshot tables not appearing in PDF exports is a sort of limitaion, me too encountered it
How about if you capture a screenshot of the Jira Snapshot table and insert the image into your Confluence page. This way, the table will appear as a static image in the PDF export
This could be a temporary make over, incase if you wish
Happy to help further !!
Hope this helps
Thank you very much and have a fantastic day!
Warm regards
