Hi,
My company already had a Jira Software for the development team and currently, we have an idea to add confluence to our organization as well.
However, when I play around with confluence, I can't let the user who already login to Jira software to VIEW ONLY confluence space.
Please advise if the above method is possible?
JIRA and Confluence need seperate licenses and therefor seperate log in. I think, there are options for SSO.
To your question. If you want an anonymous user to view any page, you can set the permission on the space or gloabl. So any user can view your pages. They do not have to log in.
If that's not what you want, you will need named user to log in to confluence.
The reason that I ask this question because in the confluence space permission they can add group “jira-users” which is the default group that you automatically add to when you was assigned jira software license. Even I add this group to view only space and tunr off anonymous view, the jira software users still not able to view confluence page. Am I right?
