Labels causing issue when creating new how-to article

I'm on Confluence self-host 7.3.1, and today come across this issue.

I used JIRA as a keyword in Labels, and there's a popup saying it is not permitted. The spin wheel next to Create button will spin non-stop, and no how-to article will be created

• Did you configure the app link in both applications so that they can talk to each other?
• What version is your Jira? is it self hosted as well?

Sometimes the synchrony in Confluence can be behind this kind of issues. We end up by disabling it which will remove the ability to use concurring editing. Hopefully it won't be the case for you.
