Hello Atlassian,
Is there a reliable way to export a lengthy Confluence page — including detailed tables and extensive code blocks — to PDF, ensuring that all content is fully displayed in a clean, structured, and professional layout?
We are currently facing the following issues:
Code blocks using the “Code Block” macro are cut off or not fully displayed
Table content is inconsistently or improperly formatted
Text over images is partially cut off on the right side
We are using the following export options:
Export → Export to PDF → Download PDF
Apps → Export with Content Exporter → File format: PDF
These problems began after the most recent Atlassian update. The layout and graphic issues are especially noticeable when using the second option (Content Exporter).
We would appreciate your guidance or any workaround to help us achieve a professional-quality PDF export.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Kristina
welcome to the community!
Can you please open a ticket with our support team with example screenshots from your Confluence and sample pdf files so we can look into the formatting problems?
Our engineers are continuously working on improving the export quality, and seeing more real-life use cases where formatting is wrong allows us to address these problems as well and improve the overall experience with our app.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi @Kristina Kreskocziova welcome to the community! I took a look on Atlassian's Jira Site and found a few work items you may want to vote for and watch. CONFCLOUD-81590 CONFCLOUD-76147 CONFCLOUD-80347 CONFCLOUD-78973 CONFCLOUD-79861
There may be others, that's what I found after taking a cursory look.
I didn't see any specific open issues regarding the use of Code Block. If you want, you could have Atlassian Support weigh in. If you can replicate the Code Block issue, you could create a new Work Item for Atlassian to look at.
Hope that helps.

Hello @Dan Breyen - thanks for reply to Kristina. she is my colleague. I have additional question to exporting a confluence page with code into PDF, because I didn´t find any answer in the tickets you provided.
Could you please explain how should a proper PDF Export be done, so that the code is not cut off as in this picture?
Or even the PDF export via Apps -> Content Exporter looks like this. what should we do to prevent it?
Thanks

It appears to me that you are following the proper procedure. The issue appears to be with the export process itself. If you would like, you can confirm with Atlassian Support on the proper procedure, as well as discuss with them the export issues you are having.
