I want to Limit the Page Structure depth to 4. How do I configure it. I searched & it shows me to use a Macro. I am looking for the system level setting if this can be configured.
We are rolling out Confluence within our organization. I want to understand if there is any Governance process we should implement(like Tag format, linking document across spaces(not keeping 5 copies in 5 different spaces)) etc ...
Based on this documentation:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/page-tree-macro-163414255.html
It seems not possible to limit the depth of 'sub-levels'.
Hi Shannon,
Please find attached the snapshot of the Micro. My assumption is that depth of the page would have to be defined in order for not the exceed the specified limit.
Thanks

Thank you for that.
So the Children Display macro just displays all the children of the current or defined page.
If you do not specify a depth of descendants, then all children will be displayed. If you display "2", for example, it will show 2 levels of child pages.
Keep in mind that this does not limit page structure depth across the instance, only while displaying children using this macro.
For your 2nd question, I would recommend raising as a discussion separate to this question. This way the members of the Community who use Confluence on a daily basis will be able to give you their feedback.
Regards,
Shannon

Hi there,
Can you show me what you found regarding the macro to limit page depth? To my knowledge there's no system setting for this but if I can see what macro is doing it then it could help me figure out what might be limiting the page depth.
Thank you!
Shannon
