Link to a page that opens in edit mode

Wolfgang Göbl August 15, 2018

Hi,

I have two spaces.

One is only editable by admins, it is the officially released content.

The other space is a copy of the first one, but users can edit -it is the work in progress version of the content.

Only admins are allowed to edit content in the officially released space.

standard users can view and comment on officially released content, but whenever they want to edit they can do that via a link a copy of the page in the second (work in progress) space.

Is there a way to set a link to a page which is opened in 'edit mode' in a way that the user does not need to press the 'edit button'?

Regards

Wolfgang

Hey Wolfgang,

You can hover your mouse on tope of the edit button and right click "Copy Link Address" which will give you something like:

https://<host_name_here>/pages/editpage.action?pageId=XXXXXXXX

With that link, the page will be in edit mode once opened.

Hope this helps!

Cheers
